Do you input your local sudo password? Seems like that's the issue

bro ip means tun0 ?? or machine ip ??

If you didn't already get it, It's the machine IP.

I did it like this:

ip=<target_machine_ip>

sshuttle -r ebelford@$ip -N 172.16.20.0/24
